Reception

The last post for the wedding series lol. I was really sad that we didn't get to take pictures on the park as it was raining hard. I had too many ideas about the photos outside but didn't have them :( haha arte. Really happy with everything about the reception and how everything turned out!! I am bad with visualising everything so when booking Urdaneta Village I didn't imagine it would look like this haha. Hooray for Hizon's Catering for the beautifuuuul set up and the mood lights (and sounds) care of Noise Syndicate! So here are the photos from the reception and some reviews also:

Beautiful (and yummy) cake from Top Cakes. Included in Hizon's package.

Thank you JC Beliganio for making our R&D sparkly. Love you!

Hizon's set up: Linens are Silver & White theme. Centerpieces were Gothic Black & White theme. They have a book that you can choose themes from. And they are perfect.

Thankful to Kat dela Cruz of Hizon's for being patient with us because we changed centerpieces days before the wedding!! Haha.

My Curious Guestbook that was forgotten by my coordinators :( Hence, I have only few entries and this was expensive!! :( They were not attentive during the whole program and even seated during the event itself. So much for coordinating lol. Tips for those getting on the day coordinators only: meet them before the event and turn over everything haha. Plus discuss little details you want them to do.

Food pictures.

Souvenirs from our Ninang Jen Lozano. She made them as a surprise for us!! Inside was a personalized perfume and some candies. <3

Thankful for the gifts!

Photos from Hashtag Prints. Included in the package were monopods and didn't see them in the event. Also internet connection was not good. But hey, they looked pretty and came handy!

DIY souvenirs for sponsors!! Inside was a mini liquor bottle, a shot gloss and Royce chocolates. Box from Blue Magic (did not expect that they have those. lol).

Our entrance. Upon arriving at Urdaneta, we found out that the office is not open for us to use. They told us that we can do retouch there so we ended up at the caterer's area lol. They served us food and my groom even asked for a second helping of rice. Hahahaha. Plus lechon to be served on our seats. What a hungry man. On his wedding day. LOL

Toast of wine. Kami naman, cheers! Haha. Dapat pala pa-sweet parang:

Hahahha. Okay.

Father and daughter dance.

Mother and Groom dance.

Of course Chloe has her own dance. ;)

First dance.

Prosperity dance.

Trivia game aka Paunahan makakain game.

Iyakin groom ;)

Our emcee, Myra :) She made the party lively! Two thumbs up for a good program and all the party suggestions. :)

Singles game :)

Men were to catch flowers being thrown by Dale. If you catch it then you're out!

Hi Franz. Lol.

Ladies were to find a safety pin on the Man who won their game, blindfolded.

Get a pin and you're out!

Winners!

I am not actually into organizing parties as I have no idea what I want plus I don't have time haha. But after spending sooo much time into this wedding (well not really a lot hahaha) it is a relief to see beautiful photos like these. :) Really thankful to everyone who came and witness God's victory in our life. Finally, three years in the making and our dream has become a reality. ;)

  1. I agree that it is difficult to take pictures when it is raining hard. Well dear the Hizon's catering services did really fabulous work for your party. Centrepieces are just fabulous and attractive. Now I am thinking to hire Hizon's catering for my wedding reception too.

Reception Venue Hunt

Until now we haven't booked our reception venue, I KNOW!! When we booked Hizon's, Irin panicked that until now we hadn't decided yet with the venue. Initially, we wanted North Forbes Pavillion and our minds was set to it. But because we took too long to arrange the booking, by the time we actually went to the office, it was already booked. Anyway for Makati weddings, you can check them out.

The Church Hunt

The biggest piece of them all, where we say "I Do". Dale and I were both Thomasians. So of course, we wanted to get Married and the UST Church. There was no second thoughts at first, we dropped by as early as September 2013 to book the Church. But admin people told us that they'll start reservations for November 2013 after the semestral break. So we waited.

The Promise

One of the things I'm most excited about if the Wedding Vow. Well I'm not even sure if personal vows are allowed at St. John Bosco, haha! But I'm excited to write one. I was looking at Facebook when I came through this article . It was a blog about revising your own vows you made during your wedding, something more realistic. She said, " Yes, marriage vows are meant to be idyllic and inspiring, to remind us that true love still exists, to bring an entire room to tears. Our wedding day promises are about love and hope and how we'll come from our best, not about housecleaning or self-development or what to do when we feel like murdering each other. Imagine the nervous laughter (or horror) if someone vowed to only hate her husband for short periods of time? None of us can possibly know at the outset what our marriage will bring or what tools we will need. Marriage has challenged almost every assumption I had about myself and my husband. It has asked me to stret...
