Paperworks

This may be a boring post but really essential- a guide to Catholic Marriage Requirements here in the Philippines. :) I got this one from this site.

Planning a wedding can be both exciting and exhausting at the same time. After setting the date and booking the venues for the ceremony and reception, comes the legal matter: the required documents to make the union possible and valid. A couple of legal age who wish to marry should first secure a license to get married. Then, there are other documents needed to complete the set of requirements and they vary for every religion, nationality, and status of each individual.
To guide you in obtaining the legal documents needed, here is a list of the more common requirements needed in a Philippine Catholic wedding:
  1. Marriage License – 4 months validity (for civilly married couples, submit registered marriage contract)
  2. Baptismal Certificate – with annotation “For Marriage Purposes”; 6 months validity
  3. Confirmation Certificate – with annotation “For Marriage Purposes”; 6 months validity
  4. Publication of Wedding Bans for 3 consecutive Sundays in the parish of the bride and groom and permission from the parish of the bride.
  5. Catholic seminar
  6. Canonical interview
  7. List of principal sponsors (to be given to the parish, where you are getting married).
To secure a Marriage License, you also need to accomplish the following:

  1. NSO – certified birth certificate
  2. CENOMAR – Certificate of No Marriage, also certified by NSO.
  3. Parental Consent for couples aged 18 to 21 or Parental Advice for those 22 to 25 years old.
  4. Passport sized picture
  5. Residence certificate
  6. Seminar – conducted by the Division of Maternal and Child Health at the Municipal/City Hall.
  7. Duly accomplished Application Form
We'll be having our Canonical Interview on July and Dale needs to have his Sacrament of Confirmation ASAP!! Haha!

Reception Venue Hunt

Until now we haven't booked our reception venue, I KNOW!! When we booked Hizon's, Irin panicked that until now we hadn't decided yet with the venue. Initially, we wanted North Forbes Pavillion and our minds was set to it. But because we took too long to arrange the booking, by the time we actually went to the office, it was already booked. Anyway for Makati weddings, you can check them out.

Caterer: Hizon's Catering

So finally, a major step accomplished! We booked our caterer yesterday- Hizon's Catering . :) We have been through LOTS of food tasting since October. We checked out Tamayo's Catering, Juan Carlo Catering and had two sessions with Hizon's. Hahaha! What I liked best about Hizon's is the set up, gorgeous!! They have different themes you can choose from. Our coordinator told us that the best seller is the Silver and White because whatever your motif is, the silver and white will make your colors stand out. But we'll still be checking other colors. Here are some pictures of the theme: Centerpieces and table set up. Pretty and elegant right? I could imagine my wedding motif standing out. They can customize table cards and have a menu on each seat. This is already an add-on during the last wedding package they offer it for P5,000. During last October, this can be selected to the amenities instead of the Wedding Emcee or Bridal Car! Also an option are Inv...

Reception

The last post for the wedding series lol. I was really sad that we didn't get to take pictures on the park as it was raining hard. I had too many ideas about the photos outside but didn't have them :( haha arte. Really happy with everything about the reception and how everything turned out!! I am bad with visualising everything so when booking Urdaneta Village I didn't imagine it would look like this haha. Hooray for Hizon's Catering for the beautifuuuul set up and the mood lights (and sounds) care of Noise Syndicate ! So here are the photos from the reception and some reviews also: Beautiful (and yummy) cake from Top Cakes . Included in Hizon's package. Thank you JC Beliganio for making our R&D sparkly. Love you! Hizon's set up: Linens are Silver & White theme. Centerpieces were Gothic Black & White theme. They have a book that you can choose themes from. And they are perfect. Thankful to Kat dela Cr...
